This is why it is advised to grow your plants indoors, where you have more control.

Growing outdoors is possible and there is nothing really wrong with it or the quality of plants that it produces. There are a few disadvantages, chiefly the threat of losing your plant to pests or theft. Even though it is legal under certain circumstances to grow medical Marijuana for personal use, you may still be subject to curious law enforcement personal and other unwanted attention.

It is just simpler in most cases to grow indoors, which has the added benefit of possible multiple yearly harvests.
